Perhaps I'm just seething with hatred today. President-elect Barack Obama appointed Hillary Clinton to be secretary of state today. Well, there goes any hope for change! Sure, keep putting your old, crusty Democrats back into power! What are we changing to, Mr President? Back to 1996? So much for change. Ah, yes, let me state the obvious: it was just a slogan. I, for one, did not buy it. But I had hope. Hope that perhaps this man could bring something new to the table.

On this election day, I discovered something new -- chocolate and hot sauce are not a good combination. My political rants have been strangely few this election season. It's not that I have no opinion on who our next president should be. I just don't believe the Democrats or the Republicans are any longer reputable enough to vote for. Last time, I wrote little satirical pieces every few weeks to dispel my angst towards the political system. This time I just have a general queasiness and lack of wittiness.
