Blags and Randomnets — Where Did Our Content Go?

Randomland is notorious* for periodically losing all of its prized** content. However, almost all of it is still around, copied across multiple hard drives, hither and thither. I would like to get the majority of the classics (eg Tempo Tale, Francine, How to Rice Your Ride) back up and in a respectable format.

Sometimes, the need arises for a movable element on your webpage. Well, you're in luck, because draggable elements are easy to implement. My goal was to make a lightweight, draggable HTML box using simple JavaScript.

Everything Is Funny!

Man! Everything is funny this afternoon! Maybe it was the chicken burrito, but even mundane things are making me chuckle right now. For instance, I was just trying to type "newyork" but ended up typing "network" before I caught myself! Crazy finger muscle memory. I must be on the edge of a psychotic break or something, but it sure is nice to laugh!

A Blast of Nostalgia

I just heard a song that somehow conjured memories of Klamath Falls, OR, where I went to college. Suddenly, I get this very autumn feeling coursing through my being. That somewhat refreshingly alienated feeling smothers me. From a time when the only person I was responsible for was myself. And there hangs in the atmosphere a chill of impending frozen precipitation; it will soon cover that ever-brown grass. My nostrils soon fondly recollect the odd odor of what I can only describe as "burnt dirt." Then the song, Angel in Disguise by Pillar, was over.

Slappin' the Automatic Paper Towels Dispensers

Over the past few years, I've noticed an explosion in the number of automatical paper towel dispensers. I don't know if it's some Oregon law, or what. What I do know is that I don't like them. They're non-tactile; they're slow; they're unpredictable...they're evil!
